Abstract:

The depolarized light scattering by plasma due to the collisioninduced polarysa-bility anisotropy was studied. The light scattering spectra for completely and partially ionized plasmas at frequencies wg1013 s-1 were obtained. Analytic expressions for the spectral density .asymptotics and the integrated scattering intensity were derived. An exact asymptotic formula for the spectral density in the low-temperature plasma was inferred. The feasibility of experimental observations of the above effects in discussed. The depolarized light scattering spectra have proven useful for the low-temperature plasma diagnostics.
