Abstract:

Hydrodynamic models for numerical simulation and forecasting of cloudiness, ambient temperature and humidity are proposed. The models are shown to be applicable to the problems of numerical weather prediction and prognosis of the optical properties of the Earth's atmosphere. The fundamental role of the horizontal baroclinicity (thermal inhomogeneity) and the atmospheric moisture circulation in the formation and evolution of the synoptic-scale vortices is demons t a ted.
