Abstract:

A simple modified small-angle diffusion approximation was developed to account for the effect of the form of the scattering phase function at small angles on the description of the space-angular scattered light and illumination intensity distributions. It is shown that the proposed procedure provides a fairly satisfactory representation of the distributions for any optical depths.
