Abstract:

Spatial stellar scintillation spectra are considered in the case of star occultation by the Earth's atmosphere. A relationship between the spatial correlation functions of inhomogeneities of the atmospheric refractive index and the log intensity of fluctuations of the passed radiation is found within the first approximation of the smooth perturbation method. The property of the atmosphere as a filter is considered using the inhomogeneities with the isotropic Gaussian correlation function as an example.
