Abstract:

Within the ESUP International Experiment carried out in March-April 2000 in Southern Finland, the correlations were found, for the first time, between the burst generation of ultrafine condensation nuclei (from 3 to 10 nm in diameter) and the concentrations of light, intermediate, and heavy ions, as well as NO, NOx, SOx, O3, CO2, and radon gases, and atmospheric aerosols in the size range of 10 nm to 10 mkm, the state of meteorological elements in the near-ground atmospheric layer, and other parameters. These correlations allow better understanding of the phenomenon observed.
