Abstract:

A three-dimensional numerical model of the transport of industrial and cloud aerosols in the orographically inhomogeneous planetary boundary layer has been developed. It allows to study 1) the influence of interacting clouds and industrial aerosols on radiation balance and optical thickness of the atmosphere, 2) the effects of orography on the microphysical and optical properties of clouds and fogs, and 3) the pattern of aerosol transport.
