Abstract:

A mechanism of hydroxyl mesospheric glow is considered, that is due to the interaction of environment with gaseous compounds whose origin is connected with human activity. It is shown that at altitudes of 80-100 km the hydroxyl radiation intensity in the interaction region can be by an order (or even more) of magnitude greater than the mean intensity of the same radiation in undisturbed atmosphere.
