Abstract:

The investigation of the water vapour spectra were made using an intracavtty spectrometer based on a Nd glass laser with a spectral resolution of 0.03 cm-1 and a threshold sensitivity of 10-8 cm-1. The spectra of H2O and HDO were recorded at a temperature of 300-1000° K. The line assignment was done and many new vibration-rotational energy levels of H2O and HDO were obtained. For the correct measurement of line shift coefficients, the procedure based on the use of temperature stabilized Fabry-Perot interferometer was suggested. Measurements of the pressure shift coefficients for H2O absorption lines have been performed with H2, O2, Ar, Xe, Kr, and air as foreign gases. For each buffer gas, a linear relationship of line shifts was measured.
