Abstract:

This report presents the investigation results of thermal regime of lower atmospheric boundary layer (ABL) above Moscow city (central part) and its suburb (Dolgoprudny). The data were obtained by means of the passive microwave radiometers MTP-5. The period under observation was 2006-2007. Using this data, the height-temperature distributions of the frequency of particular height gradients was calculated. The statistically grounded results about the differences in features of spatial-height characteristics of thermal stratifications were obtained. The typical heights and numerical characteristics of differences between Moscow center and suburb temperature gradients for each season were obtained.
