Abstract:

Spectral and temporal characteristics of a Fabri-Peirot interferometer (FPI) are analyzed in pulsed illumination. Transmission processes of light pulses of different lengths through FPI are considered in detail. Spectral and temporal characteristics of FPI at pulsed radiation are presented. The temporal structure of an FPI-passing pulse is analyzed. The threshold of FPI temporal resolution is determined. A fundamental difference between FPI transmission of one pulse and regular sequence of locked laser pulses is revealed. A model is described of passing a regular sequence of locked laser pulses through FPI as an optical filter.
