Abstract:

The analysis of spring peculiarity in the surface ultraviolet radiation (SUR) variations has been done in some Russia territories (near Ekaterinburg, Tomsk, Krasnoyarsk, Irkutsk, and Yakutsk), with the help of satellite SUR data received by the TOMS instrument, which is set on Earth Probe satellite, and Aerosol Optical Depth and Water data, received by ground actinometrical AERONET network. Spring peculiarity means the deviation of SUR mean from real seasonal process due to solar zenith angle. The data for the period 1997-2003 have been analyzed. Possible mechanisms of the observed peculiarity in SUR variations are given.
