Abstract:

A numerical model for reconstructing the pollution of the boundary layer of atmosphere by formaldehyde is presented. The model is adapted to the geographical conditions of Tomsk. The parameters of the equation of pollution transfer and diffusion are op-timized. The wind field is calculated by a single-layer hydrodynamical model under the condition of stable stratification of the surface layer. Distributions of extreme concentration of formaldehyde over the city and its suburbs are calculated. An estimation of the relative contribution of emissions of motor transport to the total pollution of the city atmosphere is obtained.
