Abstract:

The mean temperature characteristics of the lowest 600 atmospheric layer in Moscow and Moscow suburbs for the period of 2004-2009 are presented. Measurement data were from two microwave temperature profiles. One profil was in operation at the central part of Moscow, second - in the suburb (Dolgoprudny). It was shown that total influence of megacity on the atmospheric boundary layer thermal structure is well indicated by data about monthly mean characteristics of temperature, expressed in a big inhomogeneity of temperature field and in the increasе of thermal fluctuation in the central part of the megacity.

Keywords:

atmospheric boundary layer, influence of megacity, temperature stratification, typical daily variations of temperature
