Abstract:
The CO2 absorption coefficient in the wing of the 4.3μm band at densities up to 80 amagat have been calculated using the spectral line wing theory. The calculated and measured data show a satisfactory agreement. The similarity and differences between our theoretical approach and that based on the calculation of the matrix elements of the relaxation operator are discussed.
