Abstract:

We propose an analytical approach to description of the dynamic polarizability functions of H2 and N2 molecules. Frequency behavior of the polarization functions of these molecules are defined through the entire range of internuclear distance R = [0,∞) and correctly describe their asymptotic behavior both at small and large R values. Numerical values of the dynamic polarizability functions of H2 and N2 molecules obtained are quite reasonable estimates of their upper bound.
