Abstract:

Simulation results of adaptive compensation of phase random distortions of a laser beam using the received power of backscattered radiation as a control signal are presented in the paper. Calculations are performed for a laser system with a combined optical scheme of a receiving-transmitting channel. Wave front distortions of the laser field at the annular transmitter aperture were simulated by the random phase screen with Gaussian spatial correlation function and exponential temporal correlation function. The influence of the finite speed of the used algorithm and corrector truncations of wave front, on the efficiency of the adaptive control is discussed.
