Abstract:

The cycle of the complex measurements of some gaseous and aerosol components of the atmosphere has been carried out in Moscow region. The group of the atmospheric situations, when strong changes of their content were connected with long transport, was selected using back trajectories and weather map analysis. They related to the passing of the warm atmospheric fronts of the Atlantic or Mediterranean cyclones through the Moscow region. It was shown, that in these situations, the simultaneous growth of the NO2 and NO content and aerosol mass concentration was observed, while the ozone concentration decreased. This effect was followed by strong decrease of the refractive index of the aerosol particles. Variations of the condensation activity parameter are not closely connected with this effect.
