Abstract:

The approbation of the developed methods for retrieval of the single scattering albedo and the scattering phase function (asymmetry factor) of aerosol is performed using clear sky radiance measurements in the solar almucantar at Tomsk station of the AERONET photometric network in 2003-2009. It is shown that the retrieval results obtained from the suggested approaches and the algorithm by Dubovik-King are in good agreement in high atmospheric turbidity (smokes). Under typical summer conditions of West Siberia the average single scattering albedo in blue and green spectral ranges are equal to 0.90-0.92 and close to the model values of WCP and OPAC continental aerosol.
