Abstract:

General equations have been derived for studying the effect of the degree of vibrational excitation of an absorbing molecule on the isotropic part of the intermolecular interaction potential. The intermolecular potential for the collision of two He atoms is analyzed numerically. The effective operator of the intermolecular potential is constructed with the help of coupled cluster theory of rotational-vibrational interactions. The asymptotic series of the perturbation theory for the effective operator of the intermolecular potential in the first Pade approximant is evaluated.
