Abstract:
The scintillation index is analyzed for a narrow laser beam that propagates through a snowfall, as a function of scattering coefficient along a 14 to 1928-m long path. It was shown that influence of the scattering coefficient on the scintillation index depends on the path length and maximum size of snowflakes.
