Abstract:

Approximate formulae for light scattering efficiency factors of randomly oriented circular and hexagonal cylinders in Rayleigh-Gans-Debye approximation at small diffraction parameters ka < 1, kH < 1 (where k, H, and a are the wavenumber, height, and radius of cylinder, respectively) are obtained. Some numerical results are presented.
