Abstract:

The influence of atmospheric gases spectral lines on the methane concentration retrieval from solar radiation measurements in the 1.6-1.7 mm spectral region is investigated. The modeling of atmospheric transmission function with different methane and ethylene atmospheric concentration profiles showed a necessity of taking into account the ethylene spectral absorption lines in radiative calculations in this spectral region in addition to usually accountable СН4, H2O, CO2 gases.
