Abstract:

A modified method of retrieval of aerosol integral size distributions for solving solar photometry problems is presented. We assume that the fine and coarse fractions of particles are presented in the atmosphere. The initial matrix of the system is subdivided into four blocks in accordance with the two particle fractions and two spectral regions, short- and long-wavelength. Each of the two fractional integral size distributions is reconstructed separately using a block-iterative inversion algorithm and then is corrected iteratively. The possibilities of the suggested method are numerically evaluated in comparison with the results of inversion for the entire particle ensemble.
