Abstract:

Analysis of the double exposure technique for recording holograms of a focused image of a mat screen is presented. The technique enables one to obtain shear interferograms. It is shown both theoretically and experimentally, the spatial filtration in the corresponding planes allows one to filter either the shear interferogram characterizing the phase distortions of the wave illuminating the mat screen and of the reference wave, or the shear interferogram characterizing the wave aberrations of the lens used to record the hologram.
