Abstract:

The paper presents a new approach to solving the problem on interpretation of lidar data on the atmospheric gas composition. The approach is based on the use of descriptive smoothing splines. The use of splines allows one to take into account a priori information in the function sought The a priori information can be presented in the form of inequalities between the spline and the function of its derivatives. Some results of numerical studies and processing experimental data are presented.
