Abstract:

A possibility of using copper vapor laser radiation for a prophylaxis of radiation complications has been studied by treating in this way 114 patients suffering from head and/or neck turmours. A laser has been used in this study. It is shown that the use of laser radiation significantly reduces radiation reactions of the skin and mucous membranes what allows the full radiation therapy course to be performed without forced breaks as well as to shorten treatment of radiation caused epidermis and epithelium diseases.
