The paper considers the methodical questions and a comparative analysis is made of the information content of single,- double- and three-frequency laser sensing of spatial distribution of aerosol and molecular components of the atmosphere. The results of closed numerical experiment on sounding of altitude behavior of aerosol and molecular coefficients of backscattering are presented. The influence of different simplifying assumptions on space and spectral variation of aerosol parameters on the restitution accuracy is studied. The recommendations on optimal planning of the experiment are given.
