Abstract:

Considered here is a lidar sounding scheme where the laser wavelength at l1 = 308 nm is tuned on the 03 absorption band in UV while another operating wavelength at l2= 532 nm is in the visible. The problem of retrieving the scattering parameters at 308 nm from the lidar data for 532 nm is discussed. Temperature dependence of the absorption coefficient is also examined. Special emphasis is laid on the lidar signal correction and optimal, filtering. Finally, a block diagram of the lidar data processing system is presented.
