Abstract:

Different atmospheric attenuation components are separated, including aerosol and trace gas absorption. Observed data on the atmospheric transmittance in the 10-13mm spectral region along the horizontal and slant paths are compared. A way to account for the variations of the atmospheric absorption components in the problem of the remote determination of the sea surface temperature is proposed.
