Abstract:

Some ways are proposed for solving the problem caused by the radiation instability in determining the optical characteristics of a medium with a mobile lidar. The error in determination of the extinction coefficient is estimated for the case of signals backscattered from a set of common scatterers. The relation between the atmospheric (hydrospheric) situation, spatial resolution, and the measurement error of backscattered signals is described.
