Abstract:

Magnetization of atomic gases under optical pumping of the ground state magnetic sublevels with quasi-thermal spectrum splitted due to the static Stark effect is investigated. The case of weak static electric fields (E0~102-103 V/cm) when the splitting of emission (absorption) line can be neglected is considered. The average magnetic momentum and the magnetic field dependencies on the parameters of optical and static electric fields are given along with the spatial distribution of magnetic field.
