Abstract:

On the basis of Debye's asymptotic representation of the spherical eigenmodes in the Mie theory of scattering by a plasma microsphere, the electromagnetic energy characteristics of the laser plasma discharge in microsphere are considered. In this representation, the stored electromagnetic energy and the spatial energy distribution inside the laser plasma microspheres are calculated, and the dependence of Debye's radius of the plasma microsphere on the temperature is determined. The results can be employed for the determination of energy characteristics of oscillating gas bubbles in liquids, collapsed plasma microspheres and laser plasma microresonators.
