Представлена методика восстановления высоты верхней границы облачности по данным радиометра МСУ-МР, установленного на борту российского гидрометеорологического спутника «Метеор-М» № 2-2. Методика основана на измерениях собственного излучения облака в расщепленном окне прозрачности атмосферы на длинах волн 11 и 12 мкм. Результаты сравнения восстановленных оценок высоты верхней границы облачности по данным МСУ-МР и по данным спутникового лидара CALIOP показали высокую согласованность.
