Abstract:

The results of calculation of the mean intensity of short partially coherent laser pulses propagating in free space are presented in the paper. The calculations were performed for arbitrary diffractive parameters of laser transmitting aperture and pulse durations. It is shown that decrease of laser pulse duration leads to contraction of diffractive size of pulsed laser beams as compared to beams of continuous radiation.
