Abstract:

The possibility of the overtone CO laser for laser remote sensing of gaseous components of the atmosphere by differential absorption method are studied. The informative wavelength for sensing trace gases are found. For vertical sounding paths, the spatial and spectrally allowed lidar signals for selected wavelength are calculated. The test experiments on the application of differential absorption method for sensing the atmospheric gases with overtone CO laser are conducted.
