The results of an experimental investigations of the luctuations of the intensity of spherical wave reflected from a circular mirror in a turbulent atmosphere are presented. It is shown that the intensity of the fluctuations are intensified and their temporal spectra undergo a low-frequency shift as the distance between the receiver and source is increased, both in the region of weak fluctuations and on transition to strong fluctuations. A simple physical interpretation of the effects studied is given.
